SUSTAINABILITY

Cement and its derivatives are essential products for the development of a society.

With it, dams, viaducts, roads, tunnels, bridges, houses are built … being a strategic product for the development of a country.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we actively contribute daily to mitigate environmental impacts and put all the resources we have available to contribute to more sustainable development.

How do we get it?

Resource efficiency: we use by-products from other industries and value alternative fuels to reduce our CO2 emissions, in addition to avoiding the growth of landfills.

Energy efficiency: we constantly update our facilities with more efficient technologies, optimizing energy performance.

CO2 sequestration and its reuse: we collaborate with projects, even in the long term, in the search for solutions to reduce CO2 emissions.

Product eco-efficiency: We participate in research into the manufacture of new low-carbon cements.

Innovation: we research for products that improve mechanical performance and durability, extending the life span of infrastructures.

Reduce, reuse and recycle are the three pillars of the circular economy.

We minimize the generation of waste and gases resulting from our activity.

How do we do it?

  1. With the recovery of materials and waste energy Through waste recovery, we use in our production processes, industrial by-products and alternative fuels instead of natural raw materials and fossil fuels that, in addition to being non-renewable, their exploitation and use leave greater consequences on nature.
  2. Maximizing the use of fuels with a high biomass content and giving way to other materials that, if not reused in the industrial environment, would end up being dumped in landfills, polluting our planet to a greater extent.
