Cementos Portland is founded, and in 1905 the activity of the factory of Olazagutía began, with a production capacity of 25,000 tons per year
1949
Cementos Portland founded Cementos Hontoria SA and began the construction of the plant in Venta de Baños (Palencia), the production of cement started in 1953 and reached a capacity of 250,000 tons per year.
1971
Cementos Portland, Cementos Hontoria and Cementos Lemona become shareholders of Cementos Alfa
1972
Starts the activity of the El Alto (Madrid) plant in Portland Valderrivas, with a cement production capacity of 783,000 tons annuallys
1993
Merger of the cement and concrete activities of Portland Valderrivas with Cementos Hontoria and Cementos Portland, giving birth to the new Grupo Cementos Portland.
1998
Cementos Portland acquires the Alcalá de Guadaira cement plant (Seville) and with it creates Cementos Atlántico. Hympsa and Aripresa develop a vast activity of concrete, mortar and aggregates in Andalusia and Extremadura.
1999
Cementos Portland acquires Giant Cement Holding, Inc. and all its subsidiaries
2000
Merger by absorption of Portland Valderrivas, S.A. by Fomento de Construcciones, S.A. as absorbing company.
2006
Cementos Portland Valderrivas, S.A. acquires 51% of Corporación Uniland, S.A, in 2007 it would increase to 59.07%.
2013
GCPV increases its stake in Uniland to 99.9%.
